Peer Review Process

The Journal of French and Francophone Philsophy adheres to a policy of double-blind peer review. After an initial screening process, each manuscript will be reviewed by qualified reviewers, and our goal will be to provide substantive feedback to authors within two to three months. In order to ensure appropriate review, the author name(s) should appear only on the title page, references to any author's prior work should be masked, and internal identifications in the text should be removed. Manuscripts that have already been published or are currently under review elsewhere should not be submitted.

Publication Frequency

The Journal of French and Francophone Philosophy is published twice yearly.

Open Access Policy

The Journal of French and Francophone Philosophy is an open source and open access journal and operates under the Creative Commons license 3.0 (Attribution/Non-Commercial/No Derivative Works). Under this license and agreement, authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Please see our full statement on author and copyright.

Our rationale for operating as an open access journal is simple: we want the widest distribution possible for the ideas expressed in the journal. With open access, the articles published in the Journal of French and Francophone Philosophy are available to scholars and students without library subscription. Given the international scope of the journal - addressing ideas in and from the francophone world - maximizing access to scholarship is paramount.

Only published articles are given as open access. The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
